The Innovation and Research Caucus (IRC), funded by UKRI, ESRC and Innovate UK, is delighted to announce its second Open Funding Call. The IRC is a network of innovation and research funding experts who work on a variety of projects and activities designed to support a thriving innovation and research system through robust and actionable insights.
This funding call is open for submissions between 1 October to 19 November 2024.
The Call is open to researchers from all disciplines and areas of interest could include, but are not limited to:
- Innovation Adoption and Diffusion
- Regional Economic Growth
- A Resilient R&I System
- Discovery Research
- Open Research
- Global Mobility

Funding
This funding call invites applications for small scale targeted projects, and larger scale pioneer projects.
Targeted projects may seek funding up to £20,000 (100% fEC) that have a maximum duration of 6 months per project.
Additional Information
Pioneer projects may seek funding for up to £50,000 (100% fEC) that have a maximum duration of 10 months per project.
The Principal Investigator must be a member of the IRC Network.
This competition will be carried out in accordance with UKRI Eligibility requirements; ESRC funding rules and Principles of full economic costing.
