This report by Ully-Yunita Nafizah and Professor Stephen Roper draws on data from the Innovation State of the Nation Survey (ISNS) 2023 to investigate innovation activity in micro-businesses.

The ISNS data has been used to profile micro-businesses’ innovation activities, to identify their innovation enablers, such as innovation investments, collaboration activity and external support, and to identify barriers to innovation activity for micro-businesses and SMEs.
